- In the Exchange Administration Center (EAC): Go to Servers and select Virtual Directories.
- Select the Server in the menu and which type you want to show. Then press Edit.
- For this example we will start with Autodiscover.
- By default, Integrated Windows Authentication and Basic authentication is enabled. Press Save.
- Next, select Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) and press Edit.
- General settings show the URL's, type in the ExternalURL . Press Authentication.
- Make sure that Basic authentication is enabled and press Save.
- Next, select the Exchange Control Panel (ECP) and press Edit.
- General settings show the URL's, type in the ExternalURL and press Authentication.
- The Authentication default setting "Use forms-based authentication" is enabled. Press Save.
- Warning, make sure to change all virtual directions. Press OK.
- Next, select Exchange Web Services (EWS). Press Edit.
- General settings show the URL's, type in the ExternalURL and press Authentication.
- Authentication settings, Integrated Windows authentication is enabled by default. Press Save.
- Next, select Offline Address Book (OAB). Press Edit.
- Type in the ExternalURL in this setting, the InternalURL should have been configured previously.
- Change the Polling interval from 480 minutes to 60 to have a faster update of the OAB. Press Save.
- Next, select Outlook Web App (OWA) and press Edit.
- General settings show the URL's, type in the ExternalURL and press Authentication.
- Forms-based authentication is selected. Select the Logon format: Domain\user name, User principal name, or User name only and select the domain by using the browse button. Press Features.
- This will show the default settings for OWA features. Press File Access.
- This will show the default settings for OWA file access. Press Save.
- Next, select PowerShell and press Edit.
- General settings show the URL's, type in the ExternalURL. Press Authentication.
- Both Integrated Windows authentication and Basic authentication are selected by default. Press Save.
